A Homma (fan page master) gets attacked for uploading photos of (G)I-DLE's Shuhua without first photoshopping them

A Homma (fan page master) dedicated to (G)I-DLE’s Shuhua recently faced intense backlash from Chinese fans after uploading unedited photos of the idol.

The fan page master was attacked when they uploaded candid shots of Shuhua from the recent fan meeting without any retouching, which deviated from the norm of Homma photos – photos that are heavily edited.

Shuhua’s Chinese fans reacted strongly, criticizing the Homma for posting pictures that they claimed did not accurately represent the idol’s appearance. Some even accused the Homma of being an anti-fan.

This incident highlights an intriguing contradiction among Shuhua’s fans. While they frequently praise Shuhua for being a natural beauty and insist that her photos are unedited, the reality is that most of the images are edited to enhance her features.

One fan explained, “Shuhua’s Chinese fans were furious after seeing these photos. They complained, saying that Shuhua doesn’t look like that and accusing the fan page master of being an anti-fan. Consequently, the Homma (fan page master) who posted the pictures ended up deleting them and posting an explanation tweet instead.”

They added, “What makes this situation so amusing is that Shuhua’s fans always emphasize how she’s a natural beauty by claiming her photos are unedited. Yet, all those photos are actually heavily edited – shrinking her face, enlarging her eyes, slimming her nose, and more, while constantly claiming the photos are unedited.”

Korean netizens commented:
“What are you talking about? Are you out of your mind? Even in news photos, Shuhua is just beautiful.”
“No matter how Shuhua looks, all the (G)I-DLE members are great, so stop overreacting.”

“I think she’s still pretty.”

“Those photos look fine.”

“She looks so fine in the other photos.”

“I think she looks better without the edited photos.”

“They just didn’t take the photos well.”
