In a recent interview snippet that has sparked controversy across social media platforms, EXO Baekhyun has stirred emotions among EXO-Ls with his candid remarks regarding a potential full group comeback amid the ongoing dispute between EXO-CBX and SM Entertainment.

Baekhyun, known for his vocal prowess and charismatic stage presence, expressed his optimism about future group activities, despite the current rift between the CBX members and their former agency, SM Entertainment.

“Every time we release a new album, hold a concert, or meet with EXO-Ls, I know for sure that even more amazing things will happen. I am anticipating those things.”

These remarks, however, did not sit well with many, who criticized Baekhyun for discussing group activities while relations with SM remain strained.

Netizens took to an online forum to voice their disapproval, with comments ranging from accusations of neglecting his current issues with SM to questioning his commitment to the group and its fans.

K-netz comment on EXO Baekhyun’s remark on full group comeback

  • “These fans still won’t admit that it’s because of ChenBaekXi [EXO-CBX] that ‘Cream Soda’ was delayed last year. They’re just blaming the fans.”
  • “Group fans have turned their backs; only individual fans remain. Solo without mentioning the team.”
  • “During the dispute, what was EXO’s schedule during the tour? What on earth happened? Who was the person causing trouble over EXO as hostages?”
  • “Just by looking at this, it looks like he doesn’t care about his fans.”
  • “It’s pathetic. Just go your separate ways.”
  • “Kim Jaejoong’s case was doing well on the show, what’s all this about?”
  • “He keeps talking about other members while in a dispute…I mean, come on…how far are you going to take this.”

The controversy stems from a series of claims made earlier this year by EXO-CBX, consisting of Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin under their new agency INB100, alleging unfair treatment and financial discrepancies with SM Entertainment.

COMMENTS

  • “What the hell is he doing…”
  • “I guess everyone should just go their separate ways now. They’re acting like ghosts, clinging on so stubbornly. It seems like there’s no love for the team, disgusting.”
  • “Constantly mentioning members after suing… seriously, please… how far are you going to go…”
  •  “Ah, just go away.”
  • “SM has a contract clause for EXO’s group album, so they’ll probably comply If not, they’ll probably use that to nullify the contract and try to re-contract ChenBaekXi hasn’t received any money since January this year, that’s really pitiful.”
  • “Why are they like this?”

This led to an emergency press conference where the members of EXO-CBX detailed their grievances, including issues with unpaid royalties and restrictive contracts.

SM Entertainment, on the other hand, has refuted these claims, stating that EXO-CBX seeks benefits without considering contractual obligations.

This ongoing dispute has cast a shadow over the future of EXO’s group activities, including a potential full group comeback, which Baekhyun hinted at during his recent interview.

Despite the backlash, Baekhyun remains resolute in his pursuits, including solo endeavors and collaborations under INB100.

EXO-Ls continue to show unwavering support for the members of EXO, hoping for an amicable resolution to the conflict between EXO-CBX and SM Entertainment.
