THIS 3rd-Gen Idol Halts Career Amid Anxiety Crisis

In a recent announcement by Dreamcatcher Company on July 5th, it was revealed that Siyeon, a member of the popular K-pop girl group Dreamcatcher, will be temporarily suspending her activities due to health reasons.

The agency stated that Siyeon had been experiencing symptoms of poor health and anxiety, prompting a visit to the hospital for medical evaluation.

“We prioritize our artist’s health above all,” the agency emphasized in their statement. “After consulting with medical professionals, it was advised that Siyeon needs sufficient rest and stability to recover fully.”

The decision means that Siyeon will not participate in the promotional activities for Dreamcatcher’s upcoming 10th mini-album, titled ‘VirtuouS’.

Scheduled for release on July 10th, this album marks the final installment of Dreamcatcher’s parallel universe series, a concept that has captivated fans with its intricate storytelling and powerful music.

Despite Siyeon’s absence, the agency assured fans that the album’s promotions will continue with the remaining six members: JiU, SuA, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, and Gahyeon.

They expressed gratitude for the fans’ understanding during this challenging time and promised to provide updates on Siyeon’s condition and return to activities when appropriate.

“We apologize for causing concern among fans,” the agency added. “Siyeon’s health and well-being are our top priorities, and we are committed to ensuring that she returns to activities only when fully recovered.”

Fans of Dreamcatcher, known for their unique rock-infused sound and captivating performances, took to social media to express their support and well-wishes for Siyeon’s speedy recovery. Messages of encouragement flooded online platforms, highlighting the strong bond between the group and their devoted fanbase.

Dreamcatcher Company concluded their announcement by reaffirming their dedication to Siyeon’s recovery process and asked for continued support from fans as they navigate this challenging period.

In recent news, Dreamcatcher celebrated their fifth anniversary by reflecting on their journey and recent comeback with their album ‘Apocalypse: Save Us.’

During an online showcase, members discussed their improved dynamics, highlighting reduced conflicts among themselves over the years. Handong, returning after a hiatus, expressed her joy at being part of the group’s full album release.

The group’s latest title track, “MAISON,” combines apocalyptic visuals with a theme of protection. “Apocalypse: Save Us” topped iTunes charts in multiple countries, marking a significant achievement for Dreamcatcher in the K-pop scene.
