Top 10 Most Popular Idol Groups In August 2024: aespa, SEVENTEEN, IVE, More!

The month of August is currently halfway, and many K-pop groups have trended with their music releases, online presence, and activities.

To measure their popularity, the Korean Business Research Institute released its newest brand reputation rankings of K-pop groups. The organization managed to collect data from July 15 to August 15.

Here are the 10 most popular K-pop groups this August 2024!

1.    aespa

For August, aespa ranked as the No. 1 popular K-pop group after raking a brand reputation index of 5,112,782.

The quartet has been making headlines for their music, promotions, social media presence, content, and world tour.

2.    SEVENTEEN

SEVENTEEN followed suit in No. 2, with a brand reputation index of 3,928,255.

The third-gen K-pop group trended this August for their world tour announcement and updates regarding Jeonghan and Jun’s 2024 activities.

3.    IVE

IVE made it on No. 3 after receiving a brand reputation index of 3,807,785.

The girl group also released their second Japanese mini-album “ALIVE” and title track “CRUSH” on August 7.

4.    Red Velvet

With a brand reputation index of 2,735,116, Red Velvet claimed No. 4.

The quintet also trended for their ongoing fancon tour and Billboard 200 achievement with “Cosmic.”

5.    tripleS

No. 5 was taken over by tripleS, which managed to gather a brand reputation index of 2,553,846.

6.    Stray Kids

Stray Kids made it on No. 6 after garnering a brand reputation index of 2,320,853. The fourth-gen group gained traction from their comeback “Chk Chk Boom,” their social media updates, and content.

7.    TWICE

TWICE followed at No. 7 with a brand reputation index of 2,220,149. Moreover, the group has the fandom’s love through their content. Its youngest member, Tzuyu, also trended for her highly anticipated solo debut.

8.    BLACKPINK
