Wave of new Rookie Groups has K-netizens saying they don't recognize any of them

The 30th Dream Concert is set to take place on October 19 at Goyang Stadium in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province. This year’s event will showcase an array of rookie groups under the theme ‘Dream Rookie.’

The voting poll for the “Dream Rookie” of the year has been opened, allowing K-pop fans to cast their votes for their favorite rookie group. According to the latest results, POW is leading with 13.28% of the votes, followed closely by XODIAC with 11.56%. The top ten is rounded out by BEWAVE, SEVENUS, HORI7ON, ONE PACT, PRIMROSE, TIOT, X:IN, and NOMAD.

Following the reveal of the intermittent results, many Korean netizens were surprised by the sheer number of rookie groups that have debuted recently. Numerous comments had netizens admitting they were unable to recognize most of the groups.
