NCT's Yuta hints at an 'SMTOWN' world tour?

Rumors of an ‘SMTOWN’ world tour have surfaced on a Korean online community, based on remarks made by NCT member Yuta.

On July 24, one SNS user revealed, “I asked Yuta today if he could tell me where they were doing ‘SMTOWN’ and he said that he really didn’t know TT But he heard that it’s going to be a world tour? He said it kind of like that… He said there will probably be one in Korea too but I wish they would only do it in Korea……….”

Most recently, the ‘SMTOWN LIVE’ concert series was held in Tokyo, Japan earlier this year from February 21-22. The last time the concert was held in South Korea was in Suwon in August of 2022.

How did netizens react to the rumors? Some said,

“They can only manage to free up the artists’ schedules once every 2 years for ‘SMTOWN’ in Korea, so how are they doing a world tour??”

“I hope it’s just a few places, like Japan, Jakarta, the usual spots.”

“If it’s a large-scale world tour, it’s going to mess up comeback plans and schedules.”

“Don’t eat up my idol’s precious time with this world tour nonsense!”

“Can they please do one in Korea!”

“If it lines up with the new girl group’s debut, it could be good for promotions.”

“Even if they do a world tour, I hope my idol isn’t in the lineup so they can focus on their own schedules.”

“Instead of pouring so much money into an ‘SMTOWN’ world tour, invest more money in the artists’ solo concerts.”
