Amid all the noise surrounding BLACKPINK, one member is being praised as the group’s “least controversial” member.

In less than a month, BLACKPINK members Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé have faced various controversies on social media. Lisa’s solo comeback “ROCKSTAR” received mixed reviews, while Rosé was rumored to be dating ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo.

Most recently, Jennie was accused of smoking an electronic cigarette in a private room, which was revealed in a behind-the-scenes vlog from a show in Capri, Italy. This incident caused a social media frenzy and led to a complaint being filed to the Italian Embassy, forcing Jennie to apologize to her fans.

On the other hand, Jisoo, the eldest member of BLACKPINK, has remained relatively controversy-free. Over the past six months, Jisoo has focused solely on her personal activities without being involved in any scandals.

 Since the beginning of 2024, Jisoo has been busy with her acting career, confirming her participation in two acting projects: the drama “Influenza” and the film “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.” The latter features a star-studded cast including Jisoo, Nana, Lee Min Ho, and Ahn Hyo Seop. As it is an adaption of a popular webtoon, the film is suspected to be a hit.

On May 30, the crew of “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” held a wrap-up party in Seoul, South Korea, where Jisoo’s simple yet stunning look made BLINK’s hearts flutter. Her heartfelt gratitude to the crew for their hard work during the filming process showcased her professionalism as an actress.

Additionally, a clip of Jisoo filming night scenes for “Influenza” circulated online, showing her dedication to her craft. Despite her busy schedule, Jisoo reassured her fans online that she was enjoying filming and being well taken care of by the staff.

Despite her demanding filming schedule, Jisoo continues to make waves in the fashion industry. She stole the spotlight at Paris Fashion Week with her standout appearance at Dior’s show and participated in a global campaign as Cartier’s Global Ambassador. Additionally, she has collaborated with other brands such as Dyson and Self-Portrait.

Recently, Jisoo hinted at a solo comeback, exciting her fans. On July 7, she left a message on the Bubble platform indicating she would work hard to meet BLINKs as soon as possible after finishing filming.

Her message was accompanied by a musical note, suggesting her plans for a solo release in 2024. This year promises to be a big year for all BLACKPINK members with their individual activities.
