ILLIT's 'Magnetic' dominates Billboard global charts for 15 consecutive weeks, sets new records

ILLIT continues to demonstrate their strong popularity by maintaining a presence on the U.S. Billboard global charts for an extended period.

According to the latest chart released by Billboard on July 9 KST, ILLIT’s mini album title track “Magnetic” ranked 21st on the ‘Global Excl. U.S.’ chart and 32nd on the ‘Global 200’ chart, marking its 15th consecutive week on the charts.

Additionally, the song was included in Billboard’s recent list of ‘The 20 Best K-Pop Songs of 2024 (So Far): Critic’s Picks’. Billboard praised “Magnetic” as not only a perfect title to describe ILLIT’s sophisticated debut single but also a track that has captivated listeners worldwide. They further highlighted ILLIT’s unprecedented record-setting achievements with their debut track.

ILLIT had previously set a significant milestone by having both their debut album and debut song appear on Billboard’s two main charts. “Magnetic” was the first debut song by a K-pop group to enter the ‘Hot 100’ and ‘SUPER REAL ME’, the album featuring “Magnetic”, ranked 93rd on the ‘Billboard 200’.

“Magnetic” has shown global popularity through various streaming metrics. The track recently surpassed 300 million streams on Spotify, achieving the fastest milestone for a debut song by a K-pop girl group. It also reached 100 million streams on Japan’s Oricon chart, setting a record for the fastest achievement by a female group.
