Dog trainer Kang Hyung Wook shares his thoughts on leaving 'Dogs Are Incredible'

Dog trainer Kang Hyung Wook has shared his feelings about departing from the popular show ‘Dogs Are Incredible.’

On July 9, Kang Hyung Wook posted a screenshot on Instagram of himself shouting “Beggars” from KBS 2TV’s ‘Dogs Are Incredible.’ He wrote, “When I was doing ‘There Is No Such Thing as a Bad Dog,’ I embodied that show, and when I was on ‘Dogs Are Incredible,’ I was that show itself too. I don’t know what program I’ll do next, but when the time comes, I will give it my all! It was a pleasure and a joy meeting everyone on ‘Dogs Are Incredible.’ #HeadHeldHighAgain.”

KBS announced the temporary suspension of ‘Dogs Are Incredible’ the day before. They stated, “The show will take a break after the July 1 broadcast and will undergo a renewal. During this hiatus, other special entertainment programs will fill the 8:55 PM time slot. We are not considering Kang Hyung Wook’s return after the renewal.”

‘Dogs Are Incredible,’ which premiered in 2019, became essential viewing for Korea’s 10 million pet owners. The show was hosted by Kang Hyung Wook, comedian Lee Kyung Kyu, and golf legend Park Se Ri. It was temporarily taken off the air for five weeks starting May 20 due to allegations that Kang Hyung Wook had abused his power over the employees. The show resumed on June 17 without Kang Hyung Wook.

Recently, two former employees of Bodeum Company filed a lawsuit against Kang Hyung Wook and his wife, accusing them of violating the Information and Communications Network Act. They claimed the couple had accessed employees’ internal messenger conversations without permission and disclosed the contents to other employees.

On June 26, Kang Hyung Wook addressed the allegations on Instagram, saying, “I will diligently participate in the investigation to reveal the truth. However, those who have caused unnecessary misunderstandings about me and my family with unverified information spread false rumors, or filed false accusations will face strict actions, including legal measures.”
