'Hierarchy' tops global non-English TV series on Netflix

The series ‘Hierarchy’ has claimed the top spot in the Global Non-English TV category on Netflix.

According to Netflix’s TOP 10 website, ‘Hierarchy’ garnered 6.3 million views in its second week (calculated by dividing viewing hours by the total runtime, from June 10 to 16), securing the number one position. Additionally, the series topped the charts in nine countries and appeared in the TOP 10 lists of 72 countries.

‘Hierarchy’ is a high-teen scandal drama set in Jushin High School, where the top 0.01% rule as law and order. A new student with a secret disrupts their rigid world, causing cracks to form.

The series has received enthusiastic responses from domestic viewers, who praised its visual appeal and soundtrack, expressing hopes for a second season. The complex portrayal of the characters’ chaos and growth, particularly by rising youth actors Roh Jeong Eui, Lee Chae Min, Kim Jae Won, Ji Hye Won, and Lee Won Jung, has been highly acclaimed.

Director Bae Hyun Jin also thanked the global audience, saying, “Thank you to all the countries around the world for your love and support.”
