YouTube suspends monetization for 'Cyber Wrecker' channels accused of threatening Mukbang star Tzuyang

On July 15, it was confirmed that the monetization of three YouTubers known as ‘cyber wreckers’—Gu Je Yeok, Caracula, and Jeon Gukjin—accused of threatening mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang, has been suspended.

YouTube’s policies state that creators who engage in inappropriate behavior both on and off the platform, such as maliciously harming others, participating in abuse or violence, displaying cruelty, or engaging in fraud or deceit that causes substantial harm, can face penalties.

These penalties can include the inability to run ads and generate revenue on their channels, exclusion from the YouTube Partner Program, which means they won’t receive partner management and creator support, and loss of access to the YouTube Studio content manager.

YouTube has committed to removing all content that violates community guidelines. This includes content containing threats, harassment, or hate speech.

According to YouTube, consistent policies are enforced across the platform, regardless of who posted the content, and these decisions are not influenced by the popularity of the channel.

Previously, Tzuyang, who claimed to have suffered continuous assault and threats from her ex-boyfriend for four years, stated that she had been threatened by Gu Je Yeok, Caracula, and Jeon Gukjin with the exposure of her private life. She announced her intention to file a complaint against them with the prosecution.
