TAN members to go their separate ways

TAN are going their separate ways.

On June 29, leader Changsun revealed TAN will be going their separate ways in a letter to fans on the group’s official fan cafe. He further shared he’ll be stepping down as leader as he leaves the idol industry, but the possibility of TAN regrouping in the future is still a possibility.

Hello Soda!!

I’m finally writing now…
I must have kept you waiting a lot after the fan meeting. I’m sorry. I struggled with how to express myself, missed my timing while thinking about it, haha… Today was my last schedule, so I’ve been organizing my thoughts until today!

As I said on stage during the fan concert, I’ve worked really hard for nearly 10 years, but the real reason behind all of it was because of the people who love me, the people who are happy because of me, especially our supportive family, friends, and most importantly, our fans! That’s why I guess I was able to endure and keep going.
So when I almost gave up in the middle, the last thing I tried was to show a good side, and that was on ‘Wild Idol’.
After that, for 3 years with TAN, I met the wonderful members and our beloved Soda, and I ran even harder!!!
I’m filled with so many good memories!

I think now I have to step down from the position of leader and from TAN… Many people believed in me as the leader of Born to Be and supported me, and I’m grateful for that.
As for what path I’ll take next, it’s still hard to say… There’s still the issue of my military service and such, so it might take a little more time.

Actually, since last year, I’ve been thinking and trying hard to find ways to stay together with the members for almost a year.
Seeing various thoughts and situations not flow as I wished, and changing accordingly.
For now, we decided to find our own places!
But I believe and hope that there will be a day when we can come together again!
And if I have the chance later, unless I can gather again as TAN, I don’t think there will be another me as an idol. But I think I will continue to dance, so maybe there will be a chance to meet you all? I think…!

Until then, please take care of our members and support them.

And finally, our Soda, I’m sorry for expressing this through text, and thank you so much for making me happy during this time. I have so many memories that I want to say goodbye to each one individually and have a lot of affection, but now I have to live with memories… I didn’t know this moment would come, but maybe I always tried to remember Soda hehehe…
I believe that if I remember and cherish the memories, there will be a day when I can make good memories again!!

TAN, short for “Too All Nations,” debuted as a 7-member project group under Think Entertainment after forming through the MBC survival show ‘Wild Idol’. They debuted in March of 2022 with their mini album ‘Limited Edition ‘1TAN” and title song “Du Du Du”, and their last release was their first full-length album ‘W Series ‘3TAN’ (World Ver.)’, which featured “HYPERTONIC” as the title track.
