aespa thrills fans with dynamic performances at second solo concert in Seoul

On the 30th, aespa held their second solo concert, ‘2024 aespa Live Tour – SYNK: PARALLEL LINE,’ at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

aespa kicked off the concert with three songs, “Drama,” “Black Mamba,” and “Salty & Sweet,” followed by performances of “Supernova,” “Mine,” and “Illusion,” showcasing their distinctive ‘iron flavor’ stage.

After the opening stage, aespa introduced themselves and greeted their fans, known as MYs.

Karina said, “Thank you all for coming today as well. Let’s have a great time.”

Ningning added, “Let’s have fun today,” and Winter expressed her excitement, saying, “It’s a beautiful night. The energy today is even better than yesterday.”

Returning to the stage, aespa displayed a dreamy aura with “Thirsty” and “Prologue,” then showed their refreshing charm with “Long Chat.” The wide-screen LED, stage setup, and fireworks that matched the atmosphere of each song were particularly impressive.

The individual solo stages of each member received a warm response from fans. The aespa members showcased their talents by participating in writing and composing their songs, showing more maturity and skill compared to their first concert.

Giselle kicked off with the self-written and composed dreamy R&B track “Dopamine,” followed by Karina’s self-written hip-hop dance song “Up,” Ningning’s R&B dance track “Bored,” and Winter’s EDM sound-featured “Spark,” each performance drawing enthusiastic cheers from the audience.

Giselle expressed her thoughts on her solo stage, saying,

“Did you recharge your dopamine? We created the song by discussing everything. I’m happy to show it to you.” Karina shared, “I challenged myself to write lyrics alone. I don’t know when the next concert will be, but I’ll prepare an even better performance next time.”

Ningning conveyed her wish for a future release, “This is a song close to what I want to show you. I hope there will be a chance to release it as a track.”

Winter expressed her love for fans, “I wanted to be with MYs on my solo stage. So, I included a setup where I could turn around and spotlight MYs.”

The concert was also notable for the presence of special guests like Taeyeon, Hyeri, and John Park, who came to support aespa’s second solo concert.

aespa performed a total of 26 songs, including new tracks like “Supernova” and “Armageddon” from their first full album, as well as hits like “Next Level” and “Spicy,” which define their identity. The concert featured various charms of aespa, from their distinctive ‘iron flavor’ to their refreshing appeal and grand band sounds that filled the venue. Additionally, a character from aespa’s universe, Navis, appeared as a guest, adding a unique touch to the performance.

As the concert neared its end, Winter shared her feelings, “The two days of the Seoul concert have ended. I feel a lot of emotions. I want to thank MYs very much. Thank you for creating good memories. I hope we can be with more MYs in a bigger venue next time.” Giselle added, “Thank you for having a fun time today. I’m always very grateful to everyone who helped. We’ll continue to show new sides of ourselves in our concerts, so please look forward to it.”

Karina expressed her gratitude, saying, “Without MYs, all our practice and preparation would be for nothing. Because of you, we are complete.” Ningning concluded, “We prepared this concert right after finishing our album activities, so we didn’t have much time. But we worked hard to show our best to MYs.”

Following their Seoul performances, aespa will embark on a world tour across 14 regions in Asia and Australia, expanding to the Americas and Europe early next year, continuing their active global endeavors.
