SEVENTEEN Wonwoo Talks About His Artistic Ambitions In Photography, Music: 'I Really Enjoy...'

On July 15, Arena Homme Plus uploaded a dashing pictorial featuring Wonwoo of SEVENTEEN for its August issue. Apart from Wonwoo’s stunning photoshoot, the idol also sat down to answer a few interview questions regarding his hobbies.

During the interview, Wonwoo openly shared that his current hobby was photography, and the idol was so passionate about it, that he even inquired about some of the lighting during his pictorial with Arena Homme Plus, “Where do you get that lighting?”

According to the interview, Wonwoo shared that he dreams of opening his own studio one day. The idol was then asked about whom he would like to take a photograph first in his studio.

Wonwoo: “My father. It’s been a while since my family and I visited a photo studio. Ever since I debuted, we haven’t taken a picture with our family in a photo studio. I think it would be nice to at least have a family photo.” 

Arena Homme Plus also included the topic of SEVENTEEN’s ninth anniversary and Wonwoo’s reflection on his precious journey with the group. The idol then shared how the group’s albums felt like photo books that are embedded with their music.

Wonwoo: “I often look at SEVENTEEN’s albums and they feel like photo albums. We have put all the memories we experienced through our music. Some of the songs were made to be listened to during difficult moments and contain a heavy feel.”

Wonwoo: “Other songs are powerful and are made for breaking through tough times. I’d like to describe it as ‘life,’ since our music is SEVENTEEN’s life.”

The SEVENTEEN member also shared insights about the most important thing for him as a veteran idol. Wonwoo shared that he aims not to lose the enjoyment during the process.

Wonwoo: “I hope not to lose the fun. Nowadays, I find so much fun in music and photography. Even if I lack sleep, I still enjoy going out of the studio to make more music and take photos with my camera. I don’t want to forget the fun I’m currently feeling.”

In other news, Wonwoo and Jeonghan officially made their debut as SEVENTEEN’s second sub-unit JEONGHAN X WONWOO on June 17. The duo released their first single album “This Man” and its title track of the same name.
