RIIZE Surpasses Personal 1st-Day Sales Record With 'RIIZING' + Album Hits #1 On iTunes Charts

RIIZE is making headlines with their newest music release!

Earlier on June 17, RIIZE released their first-ever mini album “RIIZING,” alongside the music video for its title track “Boom Boom Bass.”

The album was also highly anticipated by BRIIZEs and the K-pop community, since RIIZE gave them a glimpse of the album’s contents by pre-releasing “Impossible” on April 18, which was trailed by the release of “9 Days,” “Honestly,” and “One Kiss.”

Following its release, the album quickly made headlines due to its feedback, popularity, and success. According to Hanteo, RIIZE’s “RIIZING” successfully sold 661,722 album copies on its first day sales.

This first-day sales figure was overwhelming for RIIZE’s feats, as it surpassed and almost quadrupled their previous record of 178,265, a figure set by their debut single “Get A Guitar.”

Meanwhile, on its second day, “RIIZING” collected a total of 18,047, which translates to 679,769 sold-out copies. On June 18, “RIIZING” managed to secure No. 1 on the Top Album charts on iTunes across various regions worldwide.

The coverage includes regions such as Brazil, Finland, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Taiwan. On the other hand, the album also made waves on other music charts outside of iTunes.

“RIIZING” also entered and claimed the No. 1 spot on Japan’s Line Music real-time album chart, as well as the real-time rising chart on AWA. Moreover, the album also secured No. 1 on the daily album charts of both Hanteo Chart and Kyobo Centre.

Overjoyed BRIIZEs praised the music video for its vibe, musicality, choreography, and the performance of RIIZE members. Here’s how they reacted:

  • “RIIZE got that 90’s vibe along with the futuristic vibe. In short, nobody is doing it like them in the K-pop scene. They surely gonna get huge.”
  • “I feel like every RIIZE’s choreography is really made for Shotaro.”
  • “Popular opinion: RIIZE song is getting better and getting every time has comeback.”
  • “I love how their songs are really catchy and easy to listen to, you don’t need to listen to them a few times to “get used to it” like with many other K-pop songs, and the boys are very charismatic.”
  • “RIIZE is bringing back that old-school funk that has been missing in music for decades! This is one of the best tracks I’ve heard in K-pop in a while! Stan RIIZE!”
