MYs Call Out aespa Karina's Stylist After Noticing Skin Chafing of Idol During Performance

In an online community, MYs expressed their frustration after seeing that aespa Karina was once again hurt due to her unsafe stage outfit.

On June 25, MYs took to social media to express their disappointment after seeing Karina’s real-time skin chafing due to her stage outfit.

aespa participated at the 2024 K-WAVE Concert on June 2, where they performed their new hit tracks “Supernova” and “Armageddon.”

Excluding NingNing who sadly sat out the event due to health reasons, aespa stood out with their impressive live singing and dancing skills, making the event livelier.

But behind the level of professionalism of the members, netizens then revealed the painful experience Karina was trying to ignore during their performance.

Seeing screenshots from the actual performance, it could be seen that the leader, who was wearing a denim top, had suffered skin chafing at the start of the stage, caused by the clothing material rubbing on her skin.

At first, it was just red sore skin, but due to their rigorous dance movements, fans inferred that some skin was peeled off that might have surely stung when mixed with sweat.

When this was noticed by MYs (fandom), they sympathized with Karina and claimed that it must have been painful for her.

• “Wow, but seeing it turn red in real time while on stage, I guess it must have been rubbed by clothes. The material must have been very rough… If it keeps rubbing on bare skin, it hurts.”
• “Ugh, that must have hurt. I can imagine how it feels like.”

As a result, the fandom called out the coordi of Karina and complained about why she was given such an outfit without any softer inner lining to prevent the rough denim material from rubbing into her skin while dancing.

Fans also demanded SM to change Karina’s stylist, as this was not the first time that the idol suffered the consequences of an unsafe stage outfit.

• “The coordi seems a bit weird. Last time, there were a few needles stuck in her outfit. aespa’s outfits are pretty. (I’m not a fan, so I don’t know. I might be ignorant) but I wish they would pay more attention to things like that in the future.”
