TWICE Nayeon Makes History In Billboard 200 By Becoming 1st Female K-pop Soloist To Achieve THIS

Earlier on June 14, Nayeon released her second mini album “NA” and the music video for its title track “ABCD.” The album marks Nayeon’s first-ever comeback in her solo career, as well as led her to become the first TWICE member to make a solo comeback.

On June 25, Korean news outlets reported that Nayeon’s album “NA” and main track “ABCD” had entered the Billboard charts. According to sources, the comeback made headlines on Billboard for the week ending on June 29.

The album entered on the Top 200 Albums chart of Billboard and claimed the No. 7 spot. The chart ranks the most popular albums in the US every week.

The achievement tied with Nayeon’s previously landed solo debut album “IM NAYEON,” which was also the first solo album in K-pop to claim a spot on the chart’s Top 10.

As a result, with the entry of “NA,” Nayeon also became the first female soloist in K-pop to land two albums on Billboard 200’s Top 10. Furthermore, platform Luminate released a breakdown of the album’s results and sales.

It disclosed that “NA” had earned 47,000 equivalent album units for the June 20 timeframe. “NA” comprised a figure of 43,000 in its traditional album sales and 4,000 streaming equivalent album units (5.41 million on-demand streams).

As the best-selling album in the United States for the week, “NA” also managed to enter other charts on Billboard apart from the Top 200 albums. The release also made its debut at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales, Top Current Album Sales, and World Albums charts.

Meanwhile, ABCD, also placed No. 2. No. 34, and No. 54, on the World Digital Song Sales, Global Excl. U.S, and Global 200 charts, respectively.
