NewJeans' agency CEO Min Hee Jin receives heartfelt character drawing from artist Takashi Murakami

Min Hee Jin, CEO of NewJeans’ agency ADOR, reveals a meaningful character drawing gift

On the 25th, CEO Min shared several photos on her social media with the caption “Thank you.” The revealed photos include a character drawing of Min Hee Jin by the Japanese contemporary artist and pop artist Takashi Murakami.

Previously, Takashi Murakami was involved in creating character designs and goods for each member of NewJeans’ Japanese debut single ‘Supernatural,’ released on the 21st. Murakami, well-known for his unique and whimsical artworks featuring his signature flower character, has gained popularity both in Japan and internationally, including South Korea.

The character drawing gifted by Murakami to Min Hee Jin features her wearing a blue ball cap and a green striped T-shirt, the same outfit she wore during her first emergency press conference on April 25th. The drawing also includes bunny ears, reminiscent of the NewJeans fan club ‘Bunnies.’

In another photo, Min Hee Jin shared a screenshot of her conversation with Takashi Murakami. According to the revealed messages, Murakami said, “I also created a character for Min Hee-jin,” along with a heart emoji.

Netizens who saw this reacted with comments like “Perfectly captured NewJeans mom” and “Hee Jin core is on point.”

Meanwhile, NewJeans released their Japanese debut single ‘Supernatural’ on the 21st and have started their activities in Japan. They will hold a fan meeting, ‘Bunnies Camp,’ at the Tokyo Dome on the 26th and 27th.
