RIIZE set for explosive Japan debut with first single 'Lucky' on September 5th

The rookie group RIIZE is unstoppable. Less than a year after their debut, they have already established themselves as a “hot icon” in the K-pop market. Their next target is Japan, where they are set to make their official debut on September 5th, and excitement is already building.

On the 23rd, their agency, SM Entertainment, announced, “RIIZE will officially debut in Japan with their first single ‘Lucky’ on September 5th.” They added, “Ahead of the album release, the tracks from this single will be pre-released on various global music platforms on the 29th.”

As they pre-release the single tracks, RIIZE will also hold fan concerts across Japan.

The tour, titled ‘2024 RIIZE FAN CON –RIIZING DAY- JAPAN HALL TOUR,’ will run from the 30th to the 27th of the following month. They will perform a total of 15 shows in nine cities, including Kanagawa, Osaka, Miyagi, Gunma, Okayama, Hiroshima, Kumamoto, Fukuoka, and Aichi, meeting local fans.

Their popularity in Japan has already begun. Their recently released first mini-album ‘RIIZING’ topped the Oricon Daily Album Chart for three consecutive days (from the 5th to the 7th).

It also reached No. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart and the Billboard Japan Top Album Sales Chart for the week (from the 1st to the 7th).

Notably, the title track ‘Boom Boom Bass’ surpassed 10 million cumulative streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, within three weeks, marking the fastest growth among RIIZE’s released songs.

RIIZE is also expanding their activities by singing for local drama OSTs. They gained attention in Japan by performing ‘Same Key,’ the insert song for the TV Asahi drama ‘Tarnishing Your Face,’ which first aired on the 13th.
