PSY urges fans to avoid scalpers for 'SUMMER SWAG 2024'

Singer PSY has called on fans to refrain from engaging in ticket scalping to help eliminate the practice.

On the 29th, PSY will kick off ‘PSY SUMMER SWAG 2024’ in Wonju, Gangwon Province, and will tour a total of nine cities, performing for audiences nationwide.

The ticket sale for ‘PSY SUMMER SWAG 2024’ recently opened, and user traffic surged immediately. According to Interpark, on the first day of ticket sales on the 10th, traffic exceeded 8 million hits per minute, demonstrating the immense interest in PSY’s concerts.

Amid this, PSY addressed the issue of ticket scalping for ‘PSY SUMMER SWAG 2024.’ He posted on his SNS, “Please thoroughly ignore those engaging in premium pricing, reselling, and scalping, which exploit loopholes in current laws. If tickets are canceled before the cancellation fee is incurred (11 days before the performance), they will be put back on Interpark. Starting today, 10 days before the first concert in Wonju, remaining tickets are becoming available. The same applies to other cities. Please purchase tickets at the original price using this method! Hoping for stronger related laws. This is PSY, an owner wanting to protect customers from premium pricing.”

P Nation also issued a statement on their official Instagram, saying, “Ticket sales are still ongoing. There has been a significant increase in posts for secondary ticket transactions aimed solely at financial gain compared to previous years. We are continuing efforts to track and block scalped tickets and are actively negotiating with major secondary market sites to delete scalping posts. However, it is challenging to completely block secondary transactions that exploit legal loopholes.”

They added, “The primary way to prevent precious fans from paying inflated prices to attend the concert is through official purchases via Interpark Tickets. We ask those needing to cancel their reservations to do so through Interpark Tickets within the cancellation period. There are still remaining tickets available on Interpark Tickets, so please purchase at the regular price.”
