Park Na Rae honestly opens up to Jun Hyun Moo about how she felt working with 'her friend's ex'

On the July 5 broadcast of MBC’s ‘I Live Alone’, comedian Park Na Rae and broadcaster Jun Hyun Moo headed off on an old couple’s getaway to the countryside.

In the evening, the two ‘I Live Alone’ cast members poured their hearts out over drinks. In particular, Park Na Rae said in a daze, “I knew that if I had a drink with you like this one day, that we would get really close.”

Hearing this, Jun Hyun Moo asked, “Why do you call me at 2 am in the morning when you’re drunk?”, to which Park Na Rae answered, “I’m just using the alcohol to hide my awkwardness.”

She continued, “Even though I would’ve liked to be more friendly, I was afraid that it wasn’t right. I kept thinking in my head, ‘Can I be friends with my friend’s ex?’. So I put a distance between us.”

Jun Hyun Moo also remarked, “It’s not that we were not close, but rather indifferent?”

Nodding, Park Na Rae revealed, “I felt like if I became friends with oppa, I would be betraying my friend (Han Hye Jin). So I didn’t even try to get to know you. I just thought I would remain indifferent. But after you returned to ‘I Live Alone’, I gradually got to know you, like how clothes slowly get soaked during a drizzle. During our ‘Palm Oil’ gatherings, I really got to know you well and even relied on you.”

To this, Jun Hyun Moo stated, “I did feel a little hurt at first. But I got where you were coming from, even though I never said anything. Since you have your relationships to protect.”

Back in the studio, Park Na Rae also mentioned, “Even though we saw eye to eye on a lot of things, it just felt like I shouldn’t be alone with just him. I thought things would be awkward between us without [Lee] Jang Woo.”
