NewJeans' Bunnies Take a Stand with Unique Truck Protest — 'We Urge HYBE to Respect Their Label!'

In an unusual public demonstration, Bunnies Production deployed four trucks equipped with electronic billboards in front of HYBE’s headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, to voice their discontent with the entertainment conglomerate.

The display, which began this morning, features a series of provocative messages supporting the K-pop group NewJeans and criticizing HYBE’s management practices.

The billboards display messages such as “Bunnies support NewJeans and ADOR / HYBE, stop illegal activities immediately,” “Protecting artists in words / Pushing artists to the edge in actions,” and “Illegal disclosure of personal information / Illegal counter-viral activities / HYBE is breach of duty.”

The display is part of a broader protest against alleged misconduct by HYBE, a leading force in the South Korean music industry.

“We support NewJeans, Min Hee-jin, and all ADOR members. We urge HYBE to respect their label and cease malicious media play and defamation against NewJeans and ADOR.”

The protest has quickly gained attention online, with a related article on the Pannate portal receiving nearly 3,000 views by early afternoon.

Netizens have expressed a range of opinions in the comments section.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE NETIZENS’ COMMENTS:

“It seems like the trucks had an effect since HYBE reported it. Next time, send a condolence wreath.”

“To really get to HYBE, you should send a condolence wreath or a coffin.”

“Illegal parking and nonsense. ARMYs, SM fans, and Bunnies have all protested in front of HYBE’s headquarters with trucks, but this is the first time I’ve seen something like this. This is like saying they’re abandoning both the artists and the fans.”

“It would be funny to see someone carrying a coffin in front of HYBE.”

“I saw a comment on mobile saying the trucks were chased away, lol.”

“Aren’t you going to give a thumbs up for the comment you left on mobile??? It’s something your favorite person likes, right?”

The nature of the protest reflects ongoing tensions between the fans and NewJeans’ management, as well as broader concerns about the ethics of media practices within the K-pop industry.
