Mnet's 'M Countdown' to celebrate 20th anniversary with special broadcast

On July 18 KST, Mnet’s flagship music show ‘M Countdown’ will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a special episode filled with unique collaborations and engaging VCR segments.

First aired in 2004, ‘M Countdown’ has become a staple in the K-pop industry. To commemorate its 20th anniversary, the show will feature special performances by past and present MCs.

Current MCs ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Hanbin, BOYNEXTDOOR’s Myung Jaehyun, and RIIZE’s Sohee will deliver a joint performance, while (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon and Sung Hanbin, who previously co-hosted the show, will reunite for a duet.

In addition, rapper and singer Lee Young Ji, who recently topped the charts with “Small Girl”, will collaborate with BOYNEXTDOOR’s Myung Jaehyun, known for his trendy and free-spirited style, drawing significant attention from the music industry.

Rising stars TWS, who have made a strong impression with their debut hits, will cover a song by their label seniors, Seventeen. This performance is highly anticipated as it showcases the camaraderie between the two groups.

Special guest MCs Yunho, the show’s first-ever MC, and actor Ahn Jae Hyun will join the current MCs Sung Hanbin, Myung Jaehyun, and Sohee. Ahn Jaehyun, who previously hosted ‘M Countdown,’ will make a comeback to the show, adding to the excitement.

The 20th-anniversary special of ‘M Countdown’ will air on July 18 at 6 PM.
