MLD Entertainment Dubbed 'Worst' Label By Netizens After Current Situation of Its Artists
Is the “downfall” of MLD coming? In SNS, fans pointed out the “red flag” signs from the label, indirectly hinting that they had already “given up” on its artists.
On June 19, K-pop fans were extremely angered by MLD Entertainment’s recent move after it was revealed that the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service listed LAPILLUS’s trademark as “abandoned” after the label failed to pay its registration fees.
LAPILLUS, the sister group of MOMOLAND was introduced in 2022 and has been active for two years, but their trademark is yet to be properly registered, not to mention that they haven’t made a comeback in about a year.

Lapis, its fandom were then ranting in various online forums about how MLD wasted the skills and talents of the girl group, reminding them of what happened to MOMOLAND.
In the past, the third-gen girl group’s fame was on par with BLACKPINK and TWICE but MLD failed to properly manage the team, leading them to leave the company. Although they initially tried to restore that level of popularity, they weren’t able to overcome the strong competition amid the influx of fourth-gen acts.
As the discussion continued, internet users also revisited the current situation of other artists under MLD and expressed regrets after they recalled the unfair disbandment of TFN, although their careers were almost at their peak.
Its other groups including NARIN, Coca N’ Butter, and HORI7ON were also poorly treated, from having low-quality MV and music as well as lack of promotions.
Lastly, MLD also is yet to give further details about its new group, which was first hinted at nine months ago.
After all of these, fans can only infer that the label has already given up on its artists, and it is a matter of time before they shut down.
Surprisingly, fans prefer them to free their artists and let them sign in another agency, calling MLD the “worst” company and calling them out for continuously debuting groups that they couldn’t take care of and give their well-deserved treatment.
