NewJeans’ parents have spoken out in an exclusive interview with Sports World, breaking their silence following an article on July 23 that discussed alleged plans by Min Hee Jin to take control of NewJeans and the subsequent response from HYBE. The parents supported Min Hee Jin and ADOR, urging HYBE to stop their harmful actions against the group.

Minji’s mother detailed her daughter’s challenging trainee experience at Source Music. Starting her training at the age of 13, Minji lived alone in a dormitory that was infested with mold and cockroaches. Her mother described the shock of discovering these conditions a year later, as her parents were not allowed to enter the dormitory. Minji often had to commute home late at night, sometimes after 2 AM, without security. Despite the difficult circumstances, Minji was determined to continue her education and successfully enrolled in an arts high school.

Hyein and Haerin’s mothers expressed their frustration at being portrayed as traitors by HYBE in April. They criticized HYBE for releasing trainee videos without consent and highlighted the neglect the members experienced during their time at Source Music. They emphasized that they never sought special treatment, only wanting to be left in peace.

Danielle’s mother expressed her shock and disappointment at HYBE’s actions, particularly the release of the private trainee videos. She questioned how the company could be trusted when it failed to protect its artists and responded inadequately to the situation.

The parents, including Hanni’s mother in Australia, reiterated their united stance and their commitment to ADOR. They urged HYBE to stop spreading false information and to allow ADOR to operate without interference, hoping to end the ongoing conflict peacefully.
