HYBE responds to Min Hee-Jin's allegations, plans to counter with false accusation claims

HYBE has responded to the claims made by ADOR CEO Min Hee-Jin and others, who have filed a lawsuit against HYBE’s executives.

On the 24th, HYBE stated, “We would like to clarify the claims made by Min Hee-Jin, CEO of Ador, and others who have sued the HYBE management today.”

HYBE clarified, “Min Hee-Jin has never submitted any information assets such as laptops to HYBE, nor has she ever complied with any audits. Two deputy CEOs submitted their information assets with their consent. We did not obtain them coercively.”

HYBE further stated, “We have already stated in court during the preliminary injunction hearing that we have never conducted a forensic analysis on the laptop Min Hee-Jin returned in the past. Min Hee-Jin transmitted various work materials, including conversations with a shaman, to external parties via her HYBE work email account, and these remain on our server. The external recipient of these emails was identified as a senior official at the partner company B.”

Additionally, HYBE mentioned, “Min Hee-Jin agreed to the processing of personal information when she joined HYBE, and this was already disclosed during the preliminary injunction hearing. Despite repeatedly explaining the circumstances of how we obtained the information, Min Hee-Jin and others have filed a lawsuit based on false claims, and we will respond with a charge of false accusation.”

Meanwhile, Min Hee-Jin and others have filed a lawsuit against CEO Park Ji-Won and other HYBE executives at Yongsan Police Station, accusing them of obstruction of business, unauthorized access to electronic records, violation of the Information and Communications Network Act, and defamation.
