HYBE employees speak about Min Hee Jin's private Kakaotalk messenger leaks

The recent leaks of private KakaoTalk messages from ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin sparked controversy and discussions within various online communities.

In particular, there have been mixed reactions from netizens as some continue to show support for Min Hee Jin while some criticize the harsh language she used toward NewJeans members.

HYBE employees have also expressed their thoughts on the situation, sharing their thoughts from the perspective of insiders. Most of the employees are showing support for Min Hee Jin and speaking up against HYBE which had exposed her private conversations.

The following posts are from BLIND, an anonymous commenting platform that verifies employment through work email credentials.

“Is Min Hee Jin running for president or something? Why is she being exposed do much? If you’re going to criticize, do it openly. It’s not good to see such a biased situation.

“HYBE’s media play has crossed the line as a big company. Whatever the significant purpose that only the executives know, it’s hard to understand how they can keep this up for over 100 days in an industry that relies on image. The affiliated artists will also suffer, and they’re turning the entire entertainment industry into chaos. It seems like it’s time for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism or the Board of Audit and Inspection to intervene and stop HYBE’s reckless actions.”

“HYBE is mistaken if they think Min Hee Jin can be shaken by this. She’s someone who has already unabashedly cursed during a press conference. Even if they’re using Dispatch to play up her harsh words on KakaoTalk now, it won’t really affect her much.”

“The impressive thing about Ms. Min is that even though the company’s audit team conducted a thorough investigation to bring her down, scrutinizing everyone around her, they didn’t find any evidence of embezzlement, misappropriation of funds, or bribery. That’s truly remarkable.”

“At this point, it seems like HYBE is the one committing a breach of trust. I just watched the MBC news segment on NewJeans’ parents, and it’s clear that articles about NewJeans get a lot of views, so they’re covered immediately by major outlets. But looking at the article, isn’t HYBE the one committing a breach of trust now? They keep making nonsensical statements that consistently damage the company’s image, and in the entertainment industry, image is directly linked to revenue.”

“Please, bring evidence of the breach of trust. Not just things like Belift Source suing for obstruction of business from a press conference, not things like claiming she spoke to a shaman, and not just the cursing on KakaoTalk. Please, bring actual evidence of a breach of trust. I’m rooting for you, HYBE.”

“Why do they keep talking about shamans and KakaoTalk… We asked for evidence of a breach of trust, and they keep avoiding it, LOL. Stop messing around with these trivial matters and give me the actual evidence, Dispatch burger folks, LOL. Is the KakaoTalk content even a crime? Is there anything criminal in it? It’s ridiculous, LOL. Is that really a crime?”

“Who would want to work with HYBE if they’re this scary? If things go wrong, they’ll leak three years’ worth of private KakaoTalk messages to the public. No wonder the parents said they were scared.”

“Bang Si Hyuk seems to make things unnecessarily complicated. If someone is making good money, why make such a fuss? As the head of a major company, he should just focus on the business side of things. This is frustrating.”

“Why do they keep picking fights they can’t win? LOL. They’re terrible at fighting and keep losing to a woman, LOL. It’s the epitome of being a pathetic man.”

“Their public opinion strategy has been a total failure. The series of all-out attacks starting from the Dispatch leaks to the ongoing issues—what are the public thinking? ‘Why is HYBE doing this? Why can’t they leave NewJeans alone?’ And in the middle of this, they got caught doing something illegal and received a stern warning, LOL.”

“HYBE’s specialty: picking actions that are hard to accept by social norms. More than half the population is just regular employees. A company exposing its employees’ KakaoTalk messages to the media? That’s not going to win them any sympathy. And I’m not just talking about this KakaoTalk leak incident.”

“Protecting personal privacy is crucial. Companies like Apple and Samsung put everything into protecting personal privacy every time they develop new phones… In an era where advanced countries consider this the top priority, LOL, HYBE executives think revealing private KakaoTalk messages like this is going to work? It shows their level of intelligence… People in this country send and receive dozens of KakaoTalk messages every day… They dare to mess with that. Regardless of the content, of course they’re getting criticized and facing backlash. Legally, they should compensate Min Hee Jin with a significant amount for this.”

“It seems HYBE is intent on discarding NewJeans… Even if Min Hee Jin is involved, they can’t accept Ador being around… Isn’t this a breach of trust at this point?”

“If someone reads my KakaoTalk messages? I’d curse them out right in front of them or refuse to have anything to do with that person. In the worst case, I’d spit right at them.”
