Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and Dex show playful chemistry

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon showed a hint of romance with YouTuber Dex.

On July 15 KST, a preview video of Taeyeon’s appearance on the YouTube content ‘Dex’s Cold Interview’ was released.

Dex introduced Taeyeon as “Korea’s legendary female solo vocalist,” and Taeyeon greeted him with a bright smile.

Dex had previously worked with Taeyeon on the Netflix variety show ‘Zombieverse 2’. Regarding his relationship with Taeyeon, Dex initially said, “I first met Taeyeon while filming, and it’s not so much that we became close, but we all got along well as a group.” Taeyeon, feeling a bit disappointed, responded, “Let’s say we’re a bit close,” prompting Dex to quickly change his words, “We’re close. We have a personal friendship,” drawing attention.

When Dex asked Taeyeon, “What was your first impression of me?” Taeyeon recalled, “You were crouched in the corner, like you were putting up a wall.” Dex explained, “How could I approach a princess?”

Taeyeon then asked Dex, who wasn’t looking at her, “Who are you talking to?” Dex replied, “It’s hard to make eye contact with you,” and shouted, “I was embarrassed.”

Dex brought up the fact that BamBam unfollowed Taeyeon, to which Taeyeon replied, “Am I that much of a distraction?” She then addressed BamBam with a video message, saying, “Our BamBam…”

Previously, BamBam had certified himself as a fan of Taeyeon. Last month, on his YouTube channel ‘Bam House’ he explained unfollowing Taeyeon, saying, “I wanted to focus on the tour. I kept seeing her posts when they came up on SNS. Even when doing TikTok challenges, I kept seeing them. So I unfollowed her to focus.”

At the end of the video, Dex asked Taeyeon, “What year were you born?” Taeyeon replied, “I was born in 1989.” Dex said, “When you were 19, I was 13.” Taeyeon, shocked, said, “When I was doing the high kick in ‘Into the New World,’ you were in sixth grade? That’s a huge shock.” Dex then asked, “Do you think this will come out funny?” Taeyeon responded, “Am I not funny?” showing their playful banter.

Taeyeon’s episode of ‘Cold Interview’ will be released on July 18 at 10 PM KST.
