EXO Suho brings comfort to fans at 'SU:HOME' concert: "I’m so relieved that Manila is the first stop of this tour"

On June 22, EXO’s leader and solo artist Suho successfully held the first stop of his solo ‘SU:HOME’ tour following his two-day show in Seoul.

Unlike other K-Pop concerts, Suho’s show in Manila didn’t have an extended stage. However, the mere presence of Suho completes it all, coupled with his live band and grand production, which features a three-story stage design, will definitely make you feel like you’re right at home.

Suho kicked off the night with his captivating performances of “Mayday,” the opening track of his recent record, “Morning Star,” “Grey Suit,” and “Self-Portrait.”

“Did you miss me?” he asked his fans. “You don’t know how much I missed you.”

“You know… I didn’t go overseas for six months. Do you know the last country I visited? Manila!” he said. ‘SU:HOME’ was the artist’s third visit to the country since the pandemic as solo, after headlining ‘ON Music Festival’ and gracing the ‘2023 Asia Artist Awards’ stage and red carpet as an actor. “I think it’s destiny,” he said.

Followed by his first talk were his performances of the new tracks from his third mini-album, ‘1 to 3,’ “Zero Gravity,” “Cheese (feat. Wendy),” and “1 to 3,” then “Hurdle,” the third song from his second mini-album ‘Grey Suit.’

“I made this show with all the heart and I want to enjoy [it] with you,” he relayed. “So I hope that you feel comfortable in my home. This is the first show after releasing my third mini-album. In Korea, I actually had a show before the release, so you guys have to be more [energetic]!”

The other songs included in the setlist are “Curtain,” “Starry Night,” “Wishful Thinking,” “Moonlight,” “Decanting,” “Bear Hug,” “For You Now,” “Alright Alright,” where Suho came down to roam around and interact with the fans up close, “O2,” “Let’s Love,” and “Moment.” Another highlight of the show was when the band’s leader played an EXO medley, performing songs such as “The First Snow,” “Growl,” “Overdose,” and “Monster.”

As the show neared its end, Suho took a moment to express his gratitude to the fans who came to his show. “For Manila EXO-Ls who have been cheering hard for me, thank you so much. I want to give you a round of applause.”

Suho also took a moment to introduce his band members, who also felt the high energy of the fans.

“I’m really touched,” Suho referring to the fans’ banner which said, “Our SUHO, when you need strength, come home to us.”

“Thank you for the love and support, Manila. You know, I’m so relieved and happy that Manila is the first stop of this tour. Let’s be together forever. Thank you for waiting for me and EXO. I will come back to Manila as soon as possible with EXO, so wait for EXO and SUHO! See you next time. I love you! Manila, you guys are No. 1 until now.”

Suho’s ‘SU:HOME’ in Manila was presented by Wilbros Live.
