Byun Woo Seok reminisces about his modeling days: 'I was really skinny and a bit embarrassed'

Actor Byun Woo Seok reflected on his modeling days, expressing some embarrassment about his past appearance.

In the video, Byun Woo Seok recalled his past modeling days, saying, “I was really skinny. When I see my skinny appearance, I feel a bit embarrassed. There was a reason I was so thin back then. I walked around for two weeks during Milan Fashion Week to attend casting auditions, not eating properly just to go to more auditions. I think I walked about 8 hours a day.”

A photo of him taken with fellow model Joo Woo Jae at the time also caught attention. Regarding this, Byun Woo Seok said, “There was a comment saying ‘It looks like Woo Jae hyung didn’t eat because he didn’t want to, but someone must have starved me.’ It still makes me laugh whenever I see it.”

Byun Woo Seok shared that the tvN drama ‘Run Away with Sun Jae’ was particularly meaningful to him as it gave him his signature role. When asked, ‘What does Sun Jae mean to you?’ and ‘What does Im Sol mean to you?’ he responded, “Sun Jae is someone I don’t want to forget, and Im Sol means everything to Sun Jae and is a precious person to me.” He revealed that he took about two months of vocal training to perfect the character of Eclipse Sun Jae, adding, “I think a good song came out because the director gave detailed comments.”

When asked about his ideal type, Byun Woo Seok said, “It seems to change depending on the person, but I prefer someone whose personality matches mine, someone wise, rather than focusing on height or appearance.”
