aespa sets new record on Melon weekly chart with 'Supernova'
aespa has broken the record for the longest-running number one song on the Melon weekly chart this year with their hit “Supernova.”
Released on May 13 as a pre-release track from their first full-length album, “Supernova” topped the Melon weekly chart for five consecutive weeks (June 17-23), marking the longest streak for any song released this year and continuing its successful run.
Additionally, “Supernova” has maintained the number one spot on the Bugs and Genie weekly charts for six and five consecutive weeks, respectively. Another title track from the album, “Armageddon,” has also ranked within the top 10, further demonstrating aespa’s strong digital performance.
aespa achieved triple crowns on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ and SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’ with “Armageddon” and “Supernova,” winning a total of 12 music show trophies. They also dominated Tencent Music’s integrated K-pop chart in China for six consecutive weeks, reaffirming their status as “global hitmakers.”
aespa is set to hold their second solo concert, ‘2024 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK: PARALLEL LINE,’ on June 29-30 at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul. Following this, they will release their Japanese debut single ‘Hot Mess’ on July 3, continuing their active promotional activities.
