Actress Lim Ji Yeon reveals she comes from a family of big eaters + hopes to try 'mukbang' someday
On this week’s episode of Yoo Jae Suk’s YouTube talk show ‘Just an Excuse’, co-stars Jeon Do Yeon and Lim Ji Yeon of the upcoming action film ‘Revolver’ appeared as guests.
On this day, Lim Ji Yeon confessed that she did not sleep too well the night before. She explained, “I didn’t sleep well because I really wanted to eat a late night snack. I really wanted to eat gopchang (small intestines). So I ordered gopchang jeongol (stew) and ate it last night.”
Hearing this, sunbae actress Jeon Do Yeon commented, “She eats a lot. She really eats a lot.”
MC Yoo Jae Suk then asked, “You said you come from a family of big eaters, right?”. Lim Ji Yeon nodded, and said, “Yes. My mother cooks a ton of food.”
When asked how many servings of instant noodles she can eat in one sitting, Lim Ji Yeon responded, “If I really sat down to eat, I can eat more than 5 bags.”
Yoo Jae Suk, Nam Chang Hee, and even Jeon Do Yeon were shocked to hear this, as Lim Ji Yeon went on, “To prove that I’m a big eater, I really want to show people one day. These days, there are tons of mukbang contents. So someday, I also want to have all this food laid out in front of me, and show people if I can eat it or not.”
Lim Ji Yeon then sheepishly added on, “[Jeon Do Yeon] sunbaenim doesn’t eat very much…”, to which Jeon Do Yeon laughed and remarked, “I do eat a lot, just not as much as you.”
