Red Velvet Member 'Unrecognizable' In Teaser Due To Heavy Editing: 'Soojin-Soyeon Hybrid'

Red Velvet is one of the most highly anticipated acts to return this 2024, as the quintet is set to release their comeback “Cosmic” on June 24. Since the comeback has been confirmed with a fixed date, the group has uploaded various teasers online.

On June 18, Red Velvet uploaded teaser images of member Joy on its official SNS. The photos showed the idol’s dazzling visuals, which were highlighted by her elegant outfit, styling, and dreamy backgrounds.

However, on the same day (June 18), one of its photos sparked a thread online titled, “Female Idol Whose Teaser Photo Is So Edited, Nobody Could Recognize Her.”

The OP also confirmed the idol in the picture, “This is Red Velvet’s Joy.”

In the comments section, many expressed their confusion over the teaser photo. Netizens voiced out how unrecognizable Joy was due to the heavy editing applied, while some thought that the person resembled other idols like Soojin, (G)I-DLE Soyeon, Nam Gyuri, and NMIXX Sullyoon.
