Nayeon Surprised By THIS TWICE Member In Solo Fanmeet — And ONCEs Are In Tears!

Earlier on June 14, Nayeon officially released her second mini album “NA” and the music video for its title track “ABCD.” The release also marks Nayeon’s first-ever comeback in her solo career, as she also became the first TWICE member to release a solo comeback.

The idol has proven her global impact, given the positive feedback her new song received from ONCEs and K-pop fans. With a new song released, Nayeon decided to promote the song in various music shows and social media.

TWICE members have also shown their support for Nayeon in her comeback stages. However, some fans noticed that Jeongyeon had a different approach to showing her support for Nayeon, and that is by going to her solo fanmeeting!

On June 23, Nayeon held her fanmeet for ONCEs, and while the occasion was full of surprises, clips online showed Jeongyeon warmly approaching her with a cake. Seeing her fellow TWICE member, Nayeon was visibly surprised by the wholesome gesture Jeongyeon had made.

In other news, Jeongyeon revealed her true feelings about a potential solo career. Unfortunately, the singer clarified on Bubble that she has no plans to be a soloist.

“I’m not working on my solo, so stop. There are a lot of ONCEs saying I might not because of high resistance, but I don’t want to be a soloist and I’m not planning to be one forever, so stop looking forward to it.”

But the singer followed up that she could still consider doing a solo career in the future, which gave ONCEs a glimmer of hope.

“Is saying for the rest of my life a bit much? I might do it one day, so let’s set it straight. (Maybe) in a year? Ask me again in one year.”

Jeongyeon’s potential to become a soloist has been long discussed inside the fandom, as the idol is considered one of the best singers in the K-pop industry. ONCEs were saddened by Jeongyeon’s revelation, but chose to understand her true feelings about a solo career.
