BTS Jin Surprises ARMYs with Extended 'Super Tuna' at FESTA 2024

BTS Jin has captivated ARMYs’ hearts as he joined in on the group’s 11th anniversary celebration… in a more memorable way!

However, the biggest surprise of the night was his live performance of “Super Tuna,” featuring a new verse!

On December 4, 2021, Jin celebrated his birthday by releasing “Super Tuna,” an original trot song, along with a charming music video filmed at Dockweiler Beach in Playa Del Rey, California.

The release was intended as a fun gift for ARMYs, but the song quickly took on a life of its own.

A TikTok dance challenge emerged unexpectedly, prompting Jin to express his embarrassment on the fan community platform Weverse.

Jin posted on Weverse, hoping to curb the trend:

“No, but please don’t do a ‘Super Tuna’ challenge that I did not plan. No, I’m so embarrassed…”

Despite his initial embarrassment, the song’s popularity surged. Jin humorously worried that the success of “Super Tuna” might lead BIGHIT MUSIC to demand more from him, even joking about the possibility of creating a second verse.

He added:

“No but there are so many other songs, why are you doing a ‘Super Tuna’ challenge.. if this gets bigger, the company might say to make a second verse, stop it~~~~~”  

To the delight of ARMYs, Jin’s concerns became a reality in the best way possible.

At the 2024 FESTA celebrations, Jin not only performed “Super Tuna” live for the first time but also revealed an extended version of the song. The new performance included a second verse, which some fans have already transcribed and translated.

Jin shared that he worked on the extended version with producer Bumzu and hinted at a possible official release of the new recording.

Despite his initial reluctance, Jin’s preparation and performance of the extended “Super Tuna” showed his deep appreciation for ARMYs and their unwavering support.
