Suho Canceled? EXO Leader Criticized for Speaking Out on CBX, SM Dispute — Eris Defend Idol

After Suho revealed his position regarding EXO-CBX’s conflict with SM Entertainment, he ended up being criticized by some. Eris have since jumped into the idol’s defense.

On June 17, Suho who had had his comeback interview decided to address the dispute between CBX (Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin) against SM where he also talked about their supposed winter comeback, their past issues involving, and his responsibilities as the group’s leader.

While a lot was grateful that Suho emphasized that he’s putting fans as his priority and attested to them that the group’s comeback will not be compromised by the current lawsuit, the idol’s statement didn’t sit well with some CBX supporters.

In particular, the trio’s fans expressed their anger at Suho for allegedly playing the victim and for indirectly blaming his co-members.

As a context, various media covered Suho’s interview and there is a controversial part where he allegedly questioned why issues about EXO were surfacing whenever he was active as a soloist.

Korean Eris expressed their anger as it was inside a quotation mark, meaning, it was directly said by the star.

“It was the same when I was doing a musical last year. Amid my musical before, there was a member’s wedding announcement, I thought, ‘Why do you only do this when I’m active?’

But I was working 365 days a year. In a way, I think I’m always given this position since I am the leader.”

Chen fans then conveyed that everything was going back to normal but he just had to bring the issue back. CBX supporters also think that it would have been better if he just avoided the topic and remained silent about the controversy as he was not even directly involved in it.

As a hate train against Suho began, Eris stepped out to defend the male idol, explaining that he didn’t say those, clarifying that his words were maliciously twisted and the cause of mistranslation.

Eris laid pieces of evidence and linked official articles from Naver, showing that the aforementioned statement wasn’t from Suho, but from the journalists’ editing and POV.

They then refuted that the above remarks were true since it was a snippet from a blog. In Naver, anyone with an account can write a blog but it wasn’t reliable since it didn’t undergo official proofreading from K-media who was present in the actual interview.

Eris then conveyed their disgust that some solo stans were trying to break apart the fandom when it is a time when they should be stronger and intact to support all nine members.

Fans also left cheering messages to Suho, attesting to him that they were also on his side.
