Colourful Hanoi streets ready for Tet
The streets in Hanoi have been decorated with various flowers, lights and other decorations in lead-up to the Tet Holiday.
Dozens of peach flower trees have become a highlight around Hoan Kiem Lake amid colourful flower beds. Several statues have also been placed around the lake to welcome the year of the buffalo. The bright colours have helped brighten the atmosphere and attract visitors. Many people stopped to take photos and enjoy the scenes.
Signs asking travellers to wear face masks and wash hands were also put up amid the on-going pandemic.
Peach flowers and lanterns can also be found on the book street which is a well-known check-in location for young people. However, the number of visitors has dropped significantly as new community cases were reported.
Meanwhile, the Temple of Literature was decorated with hundreds of lanterns.
