Ba Ria-Vung Tau tourism to be promoted on BBC Global News

The southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau has launched a campaign to promote its tourism on BBC Global News for two months.

The provincial Department of Tourism has signed an agreement with Global Book Corporation – Media Representative of BBC Global News in Vietnam for tourism promotion.

Under the agreement, a 30-second video featuring the beauty of the province will be screened on BBC World News’s Asia-Pacific channel daily at intervals at 9:30 am – 5 pm and 5 pm – 7 pm between April 8 and June 2 with a total of 150 spots.

The city will appear on the channel as an attractive destination with blue sea, white sand and golden sunshine through interesting tours.

The strategy is aimed to lure more travellers to the province after Covid-19 is brought under control in Vietnam.

BBC Global News is among leading media channels in the world with over 450 million households in more than 200 countries and territories. The channel’s major audiences are frequent travellers.

Some organisations in Vietnam such as the International Co-operation Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, the Danang Tourism Department, the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Department have also co-operated with the channel on tourism promotion.
